Henna for your party in Montréal
A henna table changes the whole feel of a party. I set up wherever you're gathering — the bachelorette, the engagement, the sangeet, the baby shower, the Eid afternoon — and work through your guests one by one, each design chosen for the person wearing it. The paste goes on warm and fresh, and by the next morning the stain tells the story of the night.
How the henna table runs
For a group, I keep the designs flowing so no one's left waiting too long. Your guests choose their own — light, modern little pieces for some, fuller traditional work for others — and I match the pace to the room. It's easy and social; everyone drifts back for a second look, and the whole table leaves with something on their hands.
Safe for every guest
I only use paste I mix myself — henna powder, lemon, a little sugar and skin-safe oils like cajeput and lavender. It's gentle enough for children and sensitive skin, so the little ones at a birthday or baby shower can join in too. When a design calls for a dark, dramatic line I use a safe black henna with no PPD — never the chemical “black henna” that stains and burns. Natural and artificial are both on the table; the choice is yours.
Where I come, and how to book
Noble Stains is based in Montréal and I travel to your event across the island and out to Laval, Longueuil, Brossard and the West Island. Send me your date through the request form and I'll reply by email with availability and a price — everything is quoted after we talk through your date and design. A deposit holds the date and the balance is settled on the day. For a party, it's best to reach out a few weeks ahead.
Common questions
- How does it work for a group of guests?
- I set up a little station and take guests one at a time, at a steady pace so no one waits too long — people chat, take photos and drift back around. Tell me roughly how many are coming when you write, and I'll suggest how much time to set aside so no one feels rushed.
- We want it to look great in photos — when should you come?
- Henna starts out orange and deepens to a rich maroon-brown over the next 24 to 48 hours, so it photographs darkest a day or two after it's done, and the colour lasts one to two weeks. If the party itself is the moment you want captured, the fresh stain already looks beautiful — but for the deepest colour on the day, I can also do the guest of honour a day or two beforehand.
- Is it safe for kids at a birthday or baby shower?
- Yes. My natural paste is just henna powder, lemon, sugar and skin-safe oils — nothing harsh — so it's gentle on children and sensitive skin. I never use the chemical “black henna” with PPD. When a design needs black, I reach for a safe, PPD-free black instead.
- How far ahead should we book, and how are you priced?
- For a party, a few weeks' notice is ideal — busy seasons fill up. Pricing is by the work rather than by the hour: once we've talked through your date, your guest count and the kind of designs you're after, I'll send a quote. A deposit holds your date and the balance is due on the day.
Tell me about your event and I'll reply with dates and a quote.
